1. Acknowledgement of Potentially Dangerous Activity: I understand and am aware that participation in the Glastonbury MCL Hike is a potentially hazardous activity. I also understand participation involves a risk of injury and even death and that I am voluntarily participating in these activities and this event with knowledge of the dangers involved. Examples of the inherent risks involved are: I may fall, trip, or collide with another hiker causing injury; I may suffer a roll, strain, or sprain; a passing vehicle may hit me; I may become dehydrated; I may panic and not do what I was instructed to do. These risks and dangers may result due to no one’s negligence or be caused by my own actions, the actions of other participants, or the actions of nonparticipants. It is further acknowledged that there may be risks and dangers not known to us or that are not reasonably foreseeable at this time. Initial to acknowledge you are knowingly accepting all inherent risks., 2. Personal Responsibility: I am voluntarily participating in the Glastonbury MCL Hike. I agree to use due care and common sense when participating in this event, including not participating while under any impairment which could interfere with my physical or mental abilities. I agree to let the person in charge know if I see or feel like something is dangerous, or if I am need of help or aid. I understand that I am best able to judge whether I can do something safely, and as such I must refuse to do an activity if I feel I cannot do it safely, even if others around me are encouraging me. Initial to acknowledge you accept personal responsibility., 3. Release of Liability: In addition to the risks and dangers of injury inherent to this activity, there is also a risk and danger that may be caused by the negligence of others, including the releases. I waive any and all liability for and cause of action for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death arising from my participation in this event, including for claims of negligence, including the negligence, if any, of releases. "Releases" include the Peter P. Monaco Detachment, the Marine Corps League, and all of those entities’ members, officers, agents, employees, representatives, executors or their successors., I hereby release and agree that I will not sue the releases for any and all damage or injury to me or to my property., I understand and assume the risks arising from participation in the hike event and understand that included within the scope of this waiver and release is any cause of action arising from the event, participants, nonparticipants, locations, routes, supervision or control of said areas/activities and for the failure to warn of dangerous conditions existing at said areas, for negligent selection of anyone connected with the activity, or negligent supervision or instruction by releasees., I acknowledge that I am 18 years of age or older and have read and understand the above paragraphs.

UNITING VETERANS TO Build Awareness, Build Comradery and PREVENT SUICIDE

On May 16th, 2020, we will unite with 300+ veterans in Glastonbury, Connecticut to hike a 22k. Why 22k? As a reminder that 22 veterans take their own lives every day.

We hope you’ll give it a share to help spread awareness about this important cause. God bless America!
