Raising Awareness in our Communities
No Veteran should feel isolated and alone when returning from military service.
Founded on the principle of service to one’s country which all Veterans share, unity can be established through community service within our neighborhoods, town and state.
The Peter P. Monaco Jr. Detachment of the Marine Corps League believes that one of the best ways to improve the transition home for our men and women serving in the military is to establish effective community relations.
The Detachment strives to get involved in community events, parades, and ceremonies. By building a strong support network through the partnership with local businesses, town officials and residents the Detachment can then help transitioning Veterans with locating available resources for support with health and wellbeing, education, employment, and social networks.

HIKE VIII -HIKE TO REMEMBER
UNITING VETERANS TO Build Awareness, Build Comradery and PREVENT SUICIDE

On September 12th 2020, we will unite with 300+ veterans in Glastonbury, Connecticut to hike a 22k. Why 22k? As a reminder that 22 veterans take their own lives every day.
We hope you’ll give it a share to help spread awareness about this important cause. God bless America!
